Do you handle prior authorizations?

Yes. Many health insurance companies require a prior authorization form to process your medication(s) through insurance. This is done to ensure that the treatment plan is medically necessary and to compare available options. We understand that the prior authorization process can be overwhelming and time-consuming, and we put forth great effort to handle prior authorizations and ensure the patient experience is as seamless as possible.

Our PA team and providers initiate PA's from your insurance company for you, taking care of the paperwork and necessary steps to ensure your medication(s) is covered by insurance. However, we highly recommend that you verify with your insurance company what medications are covered under your plan to prevent any delays in treatment. In some cases, insurance companies may require additional information, such as medical records or lab results, before approving a medication.

It's important to keep in mind that prior authorizations do not guarantee that your health insurance company will cover the cost of your medication(s). If your PA is denied, your provider will work with you to find alternative medication(s) that are covered by your insurance or are required as a part of the step-therapy process. Our goal is to ensure you have access to the highest quality medication(s).

We encourage you to call your insurance company before your appointment to confirm the list of covered medications. If you're unsure which medications are covered under your plan, please contact the phone number on the back of your insurance card and ask for a list of covered medications. It's important to note that the prior authorization process is subject to a 1-7 business day processing time depending on your health insurance and how long they take to process requests. Our PA team submits the request on the day of your appointment to ensure timely processing. Rest assured that we are committed to making the prior authorization process as smooth as possible for you.
